Check in was easy, hotel was CHIC, locations was favourable in the rainforest on top of a hill that is to be expected. Location: the venue was adjacent to all major attractions as well as transport. Didn't like when it was cloudy outside, went to Cafeteria Evy's World to relax and grab some food.

We had an incredible stay at a stunning boutique hotel nestled in the deep jungle. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby restaurants, despite being on top of a hill. The room was beautifully designed and immaculately clean, with modern furnishings and high-quality amenities. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Breakfast was a highlight, with a delicious spread that included an Instagram-worthy açaí bowl. The view of the Gulf of Nicoya was breathtaking from the third-floor bar. Facilities were top-notch and the spa was arranged for us on the same night.

The noise from the road and the terrace barriers that shook in the wind, disturbing our peace at night.

We were looking for a quiet, private place to relax and reflect on our month in CR before heading back to California. Villa Ocotea was absolutely perfect. The main house is wonderful with a wide verandah and a wonderful set of rooms looking over the countryside. The studio apartment we stayed in was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The property is beautifully renovated with lovely amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. The views of the hillside and lake from the backyard are stunning. Beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. Highly recommend Villa Ocotea for quality accommodation in a convenient location.

The hotel was brand new and modern with fantastic views over the cloud forest. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes and were extremely friendly and competent. The breakfast was superb, with plenty of delicious food and great coffee. The service was quick and thoughtful, and the staff even remembered my request for lactose-free milk without me having to remind them.

While there was nothing we didn't like about the hotel, it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room. the hotel's uphill location made it a bit challenging to walk back from town at night as the area was poorly lit.

For the price we paid, our stay at Ocotea Boutique was excellent. The room was cozy and well-appointed, and the location was convenient with just a short walk to town. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

The cocktails at the rooftop bar were amazing, although a bit pricey compared to other hotels we visited. It would have been great to have a happy hour to try more of them. The breakfast portions were huge and delicious, a perfect start to the day. The view from the rooftop bar at sunset was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the stunning Nicoya Gulf. We even got engaged there, making our stay unforgettable.

While staying at the hotel, we experienced strong winds in Monteverde, which made our room quite loud due to the balcony door not closing properly. However, the staff was helpful in trying to resolve the issue.

The apartment was nicely furnished and had plenty of natural light. The sustainable power supply through solar panels was a great feature. The owner was accommodating and flexible with our arrival and departure times.

The lack of staff presence at the hotel made us feel uneasy, especially at night. The included breakfast was minimal and required us to prepare it ourselves.
